Hey folks, I am caz

I am a passionate 500hr RYT yoga teacher and certified counsellor with a diverse background in both mental health and high-pressure industries, which enriches my unique approach to supporting people from all walks of life. My career began at 19 when I was drawn into the alluring events, advertising, and music industry. I gained invaluable experience both nationally and internationally on large-scale projects such as the AC/DC Black Ice Tour (2009), many Australian Opens, many Australian Grand Prix events, a World Surfing League Tour, Melbourne Cups & Spring Racing Carnivals, and many Melbourne Fashion Festivals, working with brands like Rolex, Adidas, Jeep, and Revlon, among many others.

At 27, I became a carer for my father, who was diagnosed with PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, similar to MND - Motor Neuron Disease). Balancing the demands of running a national event management company with my caring responsibilities led me to reevaluate my career and way of working, ultimately guiding my transition into the mental and physical health sectors.

After completing yoga teacher training and fitness qualifications in 2017, I embarked on a mission to integrate mindfulness practices into high-stress environments. This journey led me to teach yoga and boxing to at-risk youth in Melbourne's juvenile detention centres, and later, I moved abroad to Turkey to work with ESL students through yoga, meditation, and boxing disciplines. My commitment extended back home when I moved regionally to work with disadvantaged communities, retraining as a counsellor and bringing my business background with me into a dual role of counsellor and program development/partnership manager with Horses for Hope, an equine-assisted counselling initiative on the outskirts of Shepparton. I supported individuals during and after the 2022 Victorian floods, one of the most devastating flood events in its recorded history. During this time, I became a carer once again, this time for my mother, during her three-year battle with breast cancer.

As a proud late-diagnosed neurodivergent woman, I provide neurodiversity training that resonates deeply within my private practice, which supports adults with ADHD/Autism as well as carers navigating parental loss. I now live in Ocean Grove on the Bellarine Peninsula, where I continue my work as a yoga teacher and counsellor, also serving as an executive board director and state program lead for Frontline Yoga.

I facilitate a weekly trauma-informed yoga class for current and ex-serving military, ambulance, police, and healthcare personnel affected by post-traumatic stress injuries, and also teach general population yoga, and train yoga teachers and organisations in neuo-affirming practice / neuro-inclusion.

You’ll often find me walking along RAAF’s beach with my husband and dog or spending time with my very spoilt retired racehorse, Lucky.
